Download these 7 apps on your phone now and you will definitely change your life for the better

Use your smartphone to make life easier for you. Download these apps now to enjoy greater productivity, project / goals tracking and much more.

There are apps for just about anything in the world, including making your life easier. These apps are aimed to help you increase your productivity, track your habits, discourage certain behaviors, etc. Unfortunately, due to the large number of apps, it is easy to overlook certain apps that have the potential to simplify your work and life. Therefore, I created this list of seven apps that are guaranteed to change things for the better:

1. Cleanfox - Clean your Inbox

Are you frustrated with your overflowing inbox or pesky email lists that you just can't seem to unsubscribe from? Cleanfox allows you to delete and unsubscribe with just one click. It  is available for download on the Google Play Store and iTunes

2. Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock

Available on both Play Store and iTunes, this app is a must-have for all those who love their sleep. Using the phone's microphone / accelerometer to detect your body movements, the app determines when you are in the lightest sleep state to wake you up at your desired time. The best part? It comes with a snooze function too!

3. RescueTime

If you tend to waste your time on unproductive activities or websites online, RescueTime has the solution for you. The premium version*  is priced at a nominal USD 72 / year (try the 14-day free trial) and offers additional functions that can allow you to block certain websites, notifications on achieving daily goals, etc. while the lite version* provides weekly usage reports as well as an online tracker. Unfortunately for Apple users, the app is not available on iTunes as of June 2018.

4. Contactually

I used to hate networking until I downloaded this app. Though this is a CRM tool for sales people, brokers, etc. I find that everybody can benefit from this app. It allows one to sync all your contacts in one place and categorize them on the basis of how often you want to engage them, and sends your reminders to follow up with them. It's available for download, both on iTunes and the Play Store. Try out a free two-week trial before selecting one of their three paid plans to continue using the app.

5. TimeTune

Android users who are trying to optimize their schedules will benefit from downloading TimeTune onto their phones. This allows users to create routines and add activities to subsequently analyze and improve how one spends time. Over time it will help you develop a routine that allows you to make the most of your day.

iOS users can download a similar iOS-only app called Timeful  for scheduling their day.

6. Pocket

If you constantly find yourself losing track of the articles or videos you intended to read/watch later in your spare time, Pocket allows you bookmark it in one place to revisit it later. It works well on most browsers and even on apps such as Twitter, Flipboard, etc. Besides being available on iTunes and Google Play, the app is also compatible with Kindle, Windows and Blackberry devices.

7. Walnut

Don't let your hard-earned money go to waste. Try downloading Walnut on the Play Store to track expenses, settle bills, receive monthly reminders, check your bank balance and much more. The version available on the iTunes store however only allows users to settle bills and transfer money and does not allow for expense tracking.

Apps and smartphones aren't always a waste of time. These 7 apps will help you get better at managing your money, relationships, and much more. So what are you waiting for? Download these now.
